Subject: Subject? What do you think the subject is? It's about this show!
This is the only copy FYI, I was the only taper there. And yes, the crowd was very chatty this night.

Subject: MAGGOT BRAIN
This was one of the best shows i have ever seen. However, the recording doesnt give this show justice. Theirs just too much crowd banter and noise that prevent it from being a 5 star sounding recording. Not the tapers fault however. Just means this was a better show to BE at rather than Download from the archive. However, as my title says the Maggot Brain song is reason enough to dl this show. I remember them playing this one and just saying to myself "Oh my God". And it sounds awesome on here to. Really really cool. Im so glad we have JMP on the archive. THX to the taper. Im sure theres better ones out there but this is still a 5 star performance. Just 4 for recording bc of crowd noise. We love music here in lawrence lol. Sorry.

Notes

Lineup: Jamie Masefield - mandolins, Scott Ritchie - upright bass, MadDog - trumpet and keys, Mark Guiliana - drums and percussion
